(Things Deemed Forever) Stagnant

These are more stories that I wrote during high school, almost entirely during a semester Creative Writing course taught by Ms. Davenport, a beautiful human being. Her name has since become Mrs. Logan, but all the wonderful qualities still exist, I assure you. Like the Daphne Bananafish stories, I'm not too terribly fond of these.

The End of the World as We Wish We Knew It
The title is pretty self-explanatory. Not the same Sebastian as in "Sebastian and Joe"

Sebastian and Joe
Discusses the nature of brevity, commitment, etc...
Later rewritten as My Brother Joe

Leve Foreman
Young boy goes off to war, and so on...
(The first non-Daphne piece I wrote)

The Extent of a Red Light
The world seen through the eyes of a traffic light.

Zoë's First Day at Work
Individualism at it's most obvious. (I was reading too much Ayn Rand at the time...)

Why Penguins Cannot Fly
Everything you ever wanted to know about the false history of the penguin.

The Haunted Turkey
Happy Thanksgiving?

Go back from whence you came!
